This month we will be focusing on "The Essentials of Variables and Advanced Actions using Captivate 8 and 9."

One great way to make your e-learning something people want to take instead of the usual boring stuff is to make it instructionally interactive.  The ways to do that are only limited by your imagination but most all of the ways will require the use of two capabilities in Captivate that are beyond the basics: Variables and Advanced Actions.  Join Scott Nipper as he takes you through these two features and provides examples of how they can be used to create more engaging, interesting, and effective e-learning.

You will learn:

• The different types of Variables
• What a System Variable is and why you would use them
• How to create, modify, and display Variables
• The different types of Advanced Actions
• How to add, modify, and manage Advanced Actions
• What Conditional Actions are and how to use them
• What Shared Actions are and how to use them

You will be provided with a sample Captivate project, both in version 8 and 9 that has examples of Variables and Advanced Actions in use in a real-world scenario.
