The Trainer as Graphic Designer:
Tools, Tips, and Techniques for Creating Powerful Handouts, Visuals, and PowerPoints

with
Katrina Kennedy

Katrina Kennedy, known locally as the “trainer’s trainer,” is back to provide this brand new program as part of the highly successful "Fundamentals" series. This low-cost, high value program will fill early. Don’t put off submitting your registration.

What’s in it for you?

This workshop will help you use graphic design principles to create your best materials yet. The course will be taught in a computer lab for hands-on, immediate learning.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1.    Identify six (6) design principles that make materials more engaging for the learning.

2.    Create a powerful PowerPoint slide using hidden features including timing, animation, and fade.

3.    Critique existing materials for common errors - both yours and fellow learners.

4.    Explore design resources to use when you return to the workplace.

Format and Intended Audience

From the moment you walk into class, you will have opportunities to create in a supportive environment. You’ll learn through practical hands-on exercises and the feedback that supports them. Don’t expect to sit through a lecture or be overwhelmed with theory.

This class is designed for the trainer looking to improve the appeal of course materials for their training courses.

Katrina Kennedy, owner of Katrina Kennedy Training, has more than twenty years in the talent development field. She’s delivered over 12,000 hours of training to over 45,000 people. Katrina brings practical experience to the real issues trainers face.
