Training and Development Manager

There is an additional 3.35% Management Differential which is added to the posted salary for this class.
There is a scheduled 4.00% salary increase for this position effective June 26, 2016.
DESCRIPTION
Under general direction, the Training and Development Manager plans, organizes, develops, directs and participates in the establishment and maintenance of a diverse County training and development program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Either:
1. Two years of experience as a Senior Training and Development Specialist, or Senior Personnel Analyst performing training duties in Sacramento County Services. The Senior Personnel Analyst’s primary duties must have been training or employee development related.
Or:
2. A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university with major course work in human resource development, communications, career development, organizational development, adult education, or closely related field, AND Five years of professional level experience in planning and conducting employee development training programs including supervisory and management development training, at least one year of which must have included responsibility for training trainers and developing new training programs.
A Master’s degree in human resource development, communications, career development, organizational development, or training in adult or higher education may substitute for one year of the required general training experience.
