President - Jen Anderson Jen is a Senior Learning and Development Specialist at SMUD. She started her career in learning and development in 2000 and has had the pleasure work with many companies such as Disney, Sprint, Applied Medical, Staples, and Placer Court. Jen has been on the ATD Sacramento board for the past three years (first two as Director of Finance and currently as Director of Membership). She is very excited continue the great work achieved by the past boards and continue to connect and provide value to the Sacramento learning and development community. Director of Membership - Jason Roberts Jason has been working in talent development in the Sacramento area for about 10 years now. In that time, he’s held roles from program coordinator all the way to lead consultant and trainer. He’s printed materials and put together binders for small one-off classes, and he’s designed and delivered multi-day cohort-based programs for large organizations. Throughout his career, Jason has been a part of a few different groups of professionals that desire to create a community around our work. He feels he does his best work when he can collaborate with other professionals. He gets better both through learning from others, and from sharing his experience. This region has a vast amount of talent, and through the public and private sector organizations based here there is a huge opportunity to influence positive change in the region and beyond. Jason would like to see the Sacramento chapter of ATD grow as a thriving community that brings our local professionals together to help us all bring our best work to this region – and he’d like to be a small part of making that happen. Director of Finance - Alex Godinez Alex sees this as his chance to give back to the Learning & Development community that has given him so much throughout his career. His passion for Learning & Development has led him to serve as the Director of Finance for ATD Sacramento. He is a Senior Learning Specialist at SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union. He has 15 years of experience in credit unions whose overall motto is, “People helping people.” Most of that time has been in the L&D space, where he has done instructional design, facilitation, LMS Administration, and media, to name a few. His, along with his wife's, expertise in budgeting and finance was gained through raising five children, including twins! This will undoubtedly aid in his commitment to achieving the goal of making sound and prudent financial decisions to enrich the lives of ATD Sacramento members.
Director of Programs - Heather Wilson Heather is an unshakable optimist who believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. Heather's WHY is to inspire people to do what inspires them so that, together, each of us can change our world for the better. With a vision to change the way businesses think, act, and operate, Heather and her team work with leaders and organizations in many industries to help transform company culture and create a better working world. Trained logistician, Heather has an insatiable drive for efficiency & flow when it comes to growth. She has discovered a fascination in how the greatest leaders and organizations think, act, and communicate working toward growth. She is fascinated by the people and organizations that make the greatest, lasting impact on the world. Heather has devoted her life to raising two miraculous children in Northern California, and continues to build strong foundations of trust and appreciation across the communities she serves.Director of Marketing & Communications - Matt Clark Matt is a Consultant and Trainer at California School Information Services (CSIS). He has worked in the learning space for the State of California, US Senate in Washington DC, served in the Peace Corps in Kosovo and the Republic of Georgia, and taught Sophomore English on the Southside of Chicago. He has an MA from the University of Chicago and a BA from UC Berkeley. Director of Special Events - Juliet Swinger Juliet is a highly innovative and engaging professional with over 20 years of experience in Learning and Development. She has been employed with Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) since 2014 and has been in her current role as Sr. Learning and Development Specialist since 2017. While at SMUD, Juliet has developed and managed many successful learning programs. Juliet also serves as mentor at SMUD, sharing her knowledge and helping others learn and grow in a safe, respectful environment. Juliet’s previous experience includes taking her professional skills globally and she has led several training efforts while on assignment in India. Juliet graduated Summa Cum Laude from CSU, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science degree in Career and Technical Studies. Juliet also completed the Train the Trainer certification from CSUS and is a certified facilitator in Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability.
