Over the past two decades, I’ve led learning, leadership development, and organizational transformation efforts across global and highly regulated environments. In my current role as Senior Director, Global Learning Experience at Robert Half, I focus on building inclusive, data-informed learning ecosystems that support both business priorities and the real human experience of work.

Serving on the ATD Sacramento Board is a natural extension of that commitment. I’m especially interested in helping our chapter connect research, practical tools, and community so that talent development professionals at every level feel supported, inspired, and equipped to lead change. With the Bay Area chapters closing, I believe we have an opportunity to grow our membership by rallying others who are looking for that lost connection.

Now that you’re hopefully laughing - hi there, I’m Amanda!
I’m new to ATD Sacramento, but I’ve been a longtime national ATD member and an active member in other chapters - Kentuckiana (Kentucky + Indiana), and then Golden Gate.

My introduction to ATD Sacramento was attending the illuminATeD conference in October. I didn’t know a single person walking in, but I was so impressed by the strong sense of community around the room. Throughout the day I was welcomed by every person I met, and I would love the opportunity to extend that experience to our new members as the Director of Membership for the 2026 term.

I’ve previously worked in event planning, non-profits, people ops, and corporate L&D. Now I’m a consultant and I put all those skills together to offer training solutions across delivery methods (in-person, online, & asynchronous) which incorporate change management & employee engagement to maximize organizational change.

I’m grateful to have the flexibility at this point in my career to give back to ATD by attracting and welcoming new members. I look forward to meeting and learning from as many of you as possible.

Our chapter can only thrive when our financial foundation is strong, transparent, and aligned with our mission. The Director of Finance plays an essential role in shaping that foundation and keeping our chapter operational, sustainable, and equipped to serve the L&D community year after year.

⭐ Why This Role Matters

The Director of Finance keeps our chapter running smoothly by ensuring we use our resources wisely and stay aligned with our mission. It’s a key support role that helps every other board position succeed.

⭐ What You’ll Do

According to our bylaws, this role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and coordinating the responsible use of chapter funds.

  • Track basic income and expenses
  • Process reimbursements and vendor payments
  • Share short financial updates with the Board
  • Support the annual budget review (with full team support)

You will collaborate closely with the President and President-Elect — you’re never doing this alone.

⭐ Time Commitment

This role is extremely manageable:

  • 2–3 hours per month on average
  • About 1 hour to prepare for board meetings
  • A bit more during annual budgeting (team-supported)

Ideal for someone who likes structure and keeping things organized.
