Introduction July 2024 Hello ATD Sacramento! If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, I’m Jen Anderson, your current chapter president. I’m very excited to be serving my 4th year on the ATD Sacramento Board. ATD is very special to me since one of my favorite parts of working in learning and development is connecting and collaborating with other L&D professionals. I hope you’ve been able to attend some of our events this year. Our wonderful Director of Programs, Heather Wilson, has been hard at work putting together educational and insightful monthly events. As I write this post, I’m anticipating our July event that’s happening tomorrow night, “How to Use Innovative Training to Drastically Increase Your Team's Performance”. It looks to be a great night of discussion about learning science and technology. Check out our calendar for upcoming events and join us for a future event. We are volunteer led and are always looking for members who want to share their talents or gain experience in new areas. I started as the Director of Finance in 2021 so I could gain experience in managing a budget, a skill that will be useful for my career growth into leadership. If you’re curious about what you can do or only have a small amount of time you can volunteer, I’d love to chat with you about how you can support the chapter. I’d also really like to hear from you about what kinds of things you would like to see from our chapter and what learning and development topics and ideas you are interested in right now.
