The salary is competitive and is negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position with an attractive package, which includes but is not limited to: a vacation accrual rate of 16 hours per month; 12 paid holidays; excellent chose of medical, dental and vision insurance, long term disability coverage, life insurance; and retirement benefits. Salary Range: $3,635-$11,973.00 per month Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the Director of Digital Learning and Technology Solutions ensures all technology-related functions are in alignment with the mission and business objectives of the college and the university. The Director plans, implements, and sustains a comprehensive information and technology environment supporting both the short and long term goals of the college's academic, administrative and online technology needs, and, especially, the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process. The Director provides managerial direction for planning, goal setting, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and accountability for all areas of information and technology services. The Director coordinates the technology activities of the college with the Information Resources & Technology division to align policy, priority-setting, and integration, and support. The Director provides direct oversight for all the college's educational and administrative information technology services, providing liaison as needed with other campus-wide IT services. Further, the Director trains, coordinates and assigns work, supervises performance and evaluates assigned staff to ensure the achievement of operational objectives across information technology functions. This position is defined in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of The California State University. It is excluded from the collective bargaining process and is also exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position is covered by health benefits, and is exempt, (not eligible for overtime compensation) according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Required Qualifications
Education -Master's degree from an accredited university in instructional technology or a related discipline. Experience -Five (5) years of experience with hardware, operating systems, and third party software and in multiple functional IT domains such as database management, network administration, user support, web design, or application development in a campus, college or comparable environment. -Experience with multiple Learning Management Systems and a variety of web platforms. -Experience with adult learning theories, instructional design, and program assessment. -Experience with hardware, operating systems, and applications used in higher education or comparable environment. -Experience with strategic planning, change management, budgeting, policy analysis, and risk management. -Experience in a customer service environment with strong attention to detail and responsiveness. -Experience with quantitate analysis and a data-driven approach to decision making. -Experience managing projects. -Experience developing documentation and training for various stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities -Knowledge of implementing information security planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity. -Knowledge of proven strategies to make instructional content accessible. -Knowledge of applications of electronic media and communication technologies in adult learning. -Demonstrated ability to interpret policy, implement advanced planning techniques, establish performance metrics, and utilize technology for organizational effectiveness. -Capacity to handle a large number of assignments with sensitivity to priorities, and shifting organizational demands -Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -Proof of valid driver's license required for occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications
-Advanced degree from an accredited university in a discipline relative to the role and function of the position. -Experience managing open source software and cloud solutions in an institutional environment. -5+ years of experience in higher education, non-profits, or government. -Experience working in a bargaining unit environment.
License/Certification
Valid driver's license and maintenance of good driving record, for occasional driving per the Essential Functions of the position.
Eligibility Verification

Background Check

Conflict of Interest
The duties of this position include participation in decisions that may have a material financial benefit to the incumbent. Therefore, the selected candidate will be required to file Conflict of Interest Form 700: Statement of Economic Interest when they first occupy the position, an on an annual basis, complete ethics training within 6 months of appointment, and attend this training every other year thereafter.
