    The State Water Resources Control Board’s Office of Research, Planning and Performance is looking for an Environmental Scientist to join its dynamic Training Services team. As the team’s Training Technical Coordinator, you will ensure that Water Boards’ employees have access to training classes and services that relate to their work addressing critical water issues facing California and support their personal and professional development. This position (1) develops and delivers (but doesn’t teach) new technical training classes; (2) works with Water Boards staff statewide to develop Board-wide and program-specific training programs; and (3) leads efforts to improve our business processes and staff access to training opportunities.

    Training Services provides training and related services to Water Boards staff that promote employee, program, and organizational development in support of the Water Boards’ mission. It is part of the Training and Technical Services section in the Office of Research, Planning and Performance. At the Water Boards, you will be part of a diverse workforce where your experience, expertise, and opinions are valued.

    The position is in the CalEPA Headquarters Building at 1001 I Street, Sacramento—right in the heart of downtown.
