UPDATE: Sometimes life happens and plans need to shift. Our April 1st session, Learn to Disagree Better, has been cancelled.

But we’re not letting the hour go to waste.

Instead, we’re inviting you to join us for a special opportunity to meet the new ATD Sacramento Board. This will be an informal, engaging space to connect, hear what’s ahead for our chapter, and share what matters most to you as a learning professional in our region.

We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to spending this time together in a way that strengthens our community and sets the tone for an exciting year ahead.

Thank you for your continued support of ATD Sacramento.
We can’t wait to see you there!

The session information below is currently in the works of being rescheduled, look out for more details to come:

Disagreement is inevitable in the workplace, but it doesn’t have to damage relationships or stall progress.

In this interactive session, you’ll gain practical tools to build connection and increase engagement through clear, confident, and respectful communication. Learn how to turn tension into trust, navigate differing perspectives productively, and contribute to a culture where open dialogue strengthens collaboration, innovation, and shared success.

Whether you're facilitating learning experiences, leading teams, or collaborating across functions, this session will help you approach conflict with greater clarity, confidence, and impact.

About the Speaker

Devin C. Hughes
International Speaker | Thought Leader | Author | Educator

Devin C. Hughes isn’t your average leadership speaker unless your average speaker has a TED-worthy sense of humor, a black belt in culture transformation, and a résumé that spans Disney to the Department of Defense.
An award-winning speaker, author, and globally sought-after expert on organizational culture and team dynamics, Devin helps leaders do more than talk about engagement—he shows them how to actually build it (without another soulless PowerPoint parade). He has a sixth sense for sniffing out stale workplaces and turning them into connected, high-trust environments where people genuinely want to show up.
Forget the corporate fluff. Devin brings real talk, bold ideas, and a human-first approach that sticks. With a rare mix of insight, storytelling, and just the right dose of sarcasm, he tackles big topics like belonging, civility, and communication without making anyone check their inbox mid-session.
Devin is an Adjunct Faculty member at San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business, was named one of Peoplehum’s Top 200 Thought Leaders to Watch, and was recently selected as a Top 30 Global Guru for Organizational Culture Professionals for 2026, ranked #23 in the world.
He holds a BA from Colgate University and an MS from Southern New Hampshire University, and his work spans Fortune 100 giants, scrappy startups, and mission-driven organizations that want more than buzzwords.

He doesn’t just talk about better workplaces, he helps build them.
